Hospice is not only for those dying, but is also available for those with an incurable illness needing help with equipment, medications, etc .The public is invited and light refreshments will be served

SYMPATHIES

The communities sympathy is extended to the families and friends of Margaret Kause and Anna Nezballa, both recently deceased and both former residents of Lilly. These two ladies raised families in the Dog town section of Lilly.

FARM PICTURES

The Historical Society is looking for some pictures from the early farming days for the history book. If you have any of local farmers with their horses and early farm equipment it would be greatly helpful. Old timers will recall up until the seventies when the Pramuks used horses on their farm outside of town. Call Jim at 886-7282 if you can lend some photos.

Today, the 28th Bill Conley Jr , Emma Bradley and Jonathon Norris observe birthdays. Emma will be 95 this year. March 1st will be a busy day as Beverly Costlow, Mary Lutton, Frances Albarano, Maddox Laret, Breann Latoche, Joe Mardula, Julia Myers and Mary Jo Rainey all enjoy birthday cake.

On March 3rd Ken Brown celebrates as does Tyler Condon, Shelby Franey and Darren Reffner.  John Dougherty observes his birthday on the 4th and Faber Conrad on the 5th. Happy Birthday To All.

ANNIVERSARY

Happy Anniversary wishes are sent to Jeff and Sue Wilson who will be celebrating their wedding anniversary on  March 5th.

WAR MEMORIAL

Most residence should have received a letter from the Lilly/Washington War Memorial Association who are now conducting their annual fund drive. These men and women put a lot of time and effort into maintaining a first class recreation area for the community and any financial support you can give is greatly appreciated. .The War Memorial members also welcome any help a person can render at the field. There is always grass to cut, weeds to remove and painting chores to do.

REMINDER

I always welcome items to write about. Just call me at 886-4694 or e-mail pappyjack56@aol.com. I try to keep up on community happenings but miss many especially in these winter months were I don’t venture out as much.

With that said I am looking forward with great anticipation to spring. Seeing snow out the kitchen window is getting old and I would rather see the flowers blooming and the trees in bud. Have a nice week.
